Business Studies is often a new subject for students and allows them the opportunity to begin to understand the importance of business in our economy.

This subject is taught by subject specialists with a thorough understanding of the specifications and experience of teaching the subject over many years.

We offer Business Studies at Key Stage 4 & 5.

At Key Stage 4 we offer OCR National in Business. This is made up of a series of units that build up into a final qualification.

At Key Stage 5 Business Studies and Accountancy are available within the Kidsgrove Sixth Form. We follow the Edexcel Business Studies course and links can be found to the specification to the side of this page.

Business is all around us and this subject appeals to those who might have enjoyed watching ‘The Apprentice’ or ‘The Dragon’s Den’. By the end of the course there is no guarantee that you will be a multi-millionaire entrepreneur. However you will have gained a greater understanding of the way a business operates and how it responds to the changing demands of consumers and the economy.
