Technology

Welcome to Maryhill High Media Arts College Technology Department.

Design and Technology is taught in Years 7, 8 and 9 and is planned to enable all students to experience all areas of the subject including electronics.

In Year 10 the students have a choice of a wide range of disciplines including Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Child Development and Product Design.

The department is well resourced with CAD –CAM facilities with a suite of computers and 91% of the pupils enjoy the practical element of Technology.

The Technology department is a flourishing, high achieving department and the staff regularly give up their time to run lunch and after school clubs and competitions.

It is an exciting time for the Technology department with many new and exciting plans. We are hoping to become involved in the F1 for schools project and we are building many links with local industries.

Please visit the following likes to find out more about the F1 for schools project, example practical projects and other internet based resources we use.
