I have been teaching for 16 years and the last 5 of those have been happily spent at this school. Most of my life has been devoted to sport where I have played professional cricket and semi-professional football, and now I have the chance to share my love of sport with the students at Maryhill.
I have three children who I adore, aged 11, 8 and 2, and during a typical week they go a total of 17 clubs between them – hence why my hair is rapidly turning grey! I also love writing. I have written for The Guardian newspaper and website, and have a weekly piece in The Sentinel on cricket. I have also edited a football magazine in the past, and am currently writing a book on my life following Stoke City around the country for the last 36 years.
