Welcome to Maryhill High Media Arts College Law page. 

The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of the workings of the English Legal System at AS Level and at A2 to focus on an area of substantive law ie. Criminal, Contract or Tort. During the two year course, students develop skills in research, analysis and evaluation and are encouraged to criticise and question the implications and effectiveness of applying and following legal rules. Their learning is enhanced through role plays, talking to guest speakers, along with visits to the Houses of Parliament. They are required to keep up-to-date with legal developments and discussions on the impact of these in appreciating the practical workings of the law.
